Lt. Col. Sims has served with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department for more than 25 years, and currently oversees the Services Bureau. A lifelong resident of Wyandotte County, Lt. Col. Sims attended Rockhurst High School and Washburn University. While working at East Patrol and in Community Services, he led youth outreach initiatives and became interested in the PAL KCK program and the work that the officers, PAL partners and the kids have been doing at the PAL. Lt. Col. Sims enjoys his board service and connecting the police department, community and local youth through the PAL KCK.
