Have a Heart for the PAL!
This fall, the demand for our free after-school and evening programs for underserved youth is skyrocketing. There are waiting lists in many of our programs.
We need your help to help kids who need it most. Please consider a donation that will give kids in the urban core the mentoring and support they need for a chance for a better, safer life.
The PAL relies on private funds to keep our programs free for more than a thousand disadvantaged kids in the urban core.
Your gift will change your life as much as it changes our kids'!
PAL programs pair youth with mentors.
At the PAL, we provide children ages 8-18 with after-school programs, all at no cost. Our programs are designed to provide the social and community support they need to improve their health and well-being. Police officers and adult mentors help kids develop new skills and interests that help them build confidence and positive relationships in the community while steering clear of the influences of crime and gang violence. Our programs are working to improve the community.
IMPACT
This year, more than a thousand at-risk children in Kansas City, KS will escape the hardships and pressures of young life and find a place where they learn healthy new skills, connect with mentors and learn the value of serving the community. In short, they find a place -- the PAL -- where they belong. Learn what they're accomplishing at the PAL.
