Daniel Mendez was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, in the Argentine community. He began boxing at age 13 and went on to become a four-time Kansas City Golden Gloves runner-up and the 2005 Kansas City Golden Gloves Champion at 152 pounds. He later trained at Oscar De La Hoya’s gym in Los Angeles.

Today, Daniel gives back to the community as a coach and mentor while also owning and operating his local business, Mendez Floor Care. He is a graduate of Bishop Ward High School.
