Ways to support
Provide a KCK PAL Community Dinner
Community Dinners at the KCK PAL have become a much-anticipated tradition. Individuals and groups can help by preparing or bringing the meal and serving it alongside our PAL kids, who handle setup and cleanup. It’s a hands-on way to nourish both stomachs and spirits while connecting with the youth we serve.
Attend a KCK PAL Event
Our events are all about community — whether it’s PALFEST, our largest annual fundraiser, or smaller gatherings that bring families, mentors, and youth together, like our annual crawfish boil or bingo night. Each event helps strengthen relationships and create new opportunities for KCK PAL kids.
Help with a KCK PAL program
There’s always something to do at the KCK PAL – and always a way to help. Whether you are handy, love to cook, enjoy gardening, or just want to pitch in, we welcome your time and talents. Come be a part of the work that keeps the KCK PAL running strong.
Ways to contribute
Your financial support allows us to offer all KCK PAL programs at no cost to the children who need them most. Each program is designed to develop critical life skills, expand educational opportunities, and foster meaningful connections between youth and police officers. Your donation helps guide young people toward positive choices and empowers them to grow into engaged, productive members of the community.

Why your help is needed
All kids deserve a safe place to go after school and in the summers where they can belong. The PAL has become that place for more than a thousand kids in the urban core.
The KCK PAL serves children ages 8-18 from low-income households in the Kansas City, Kansas community. Children in poverty are more likely to have physical, mental and behavioral health problems, disrupted brain development, shorter educational trajectories, contact with the child welfare and justice systems, employment challenges in adulthood and more.
We’re committed to providing our programs and mentoring services at no cost to the children and families we serve. We need your help to do that. We need our community to support us, or these kids will not be able to help themselves or sustain our community in the future. Thank you for considering sharing your time, talent or treasure to help the kids at the PAL.
