Driver’s Education

PAL KCK offers the nation’s first free, police-led Driver’s Education program for teens. Students learn everything from DMV registration to road safety, insurance, and responsible driving, all under the guidance of KCKPD officers. Since 2021, more than 450 teens have earned their Kansas permits and licenses. The program pairs practical skills with mentorship and community service—students complete 30 hours of service at the KCK PAL to participate in the program and eventually earn their license. Beyond teaching driving, the program promotes safety, responsibility, and positive connections with law enforcement.
